These days in Ameto – Update 2018-10

Welcome to the October issue of "These days in Ameto", a recurring series of posts that highlight the most recent updates to the Ameto services. Let's dive in!

• Image shrinking now supports PNG input images. The output will continue to be a JPEG image.
• We added a brand new resize operator. The resize operator transforms JPEG and PNG images to the desired dimensions optionally preserving aspect ratio. This is very convenent for thumbnail generation, for example.
• Ameto's documentation was completely revamped and is much more visually appealing and clearly arranged. The contents were split up into a tutorial section and an API reference to support different use cases.

We recently released v1.2.0 of the Ameto Java client and advise all users to upgrade.
